Early Contractor Engagement
Like many of our clients we recognize the great benefit of early contractor engagement in Front End Planning (FEP), and the value this brings in the delivery of an efficient design.
Our unique collaborative approach with clients, designers and key stakeholders ensures a "right the first time" delivery and eliminates the potential for constantly evolving designs that require multiple stakeholders, consultations and regulatory revisions that can negatively impact the project schedule and cost.
We have demonstrated that early engagement in the project design cycle with construction focused Front End Planning is a key factor in the delivery of successful pipeline projects. At SMJV, Front End Planning goes beyond construct-ability input to actually working collaboratively with all front end project stakeholders to deliver an optimal execution design.
A key component of our front end planning is the development of an access, clearing, grading and reclamation plan (ACGR). Our team working closely with the clients regulatory, environmental, land, geomatics and design team will ensure all interests and solutions are aligned.
This development of an ACGR through early engagement and planning will bring cost and schedule certainty to projects earlier in the project life-cycle than traditional build only execution models.
